CHRISTMAS VIDEO: Silent Night (by Paul Austin Kelly)

The very popular Christmas carol arranged and sung by Paul Austin Kelly with drawings by Korky Paul. Written by Franz Xaver Gruber, 1859.  This is from the Walking Oliver CD, “Don’t Want No Bones for Christmas.”

Silent night holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child.
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night holy night
Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face,
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth

Rain, Rain, Go Away! (Paul Austin Kelly & Richard Durrant)

Here’s an original version of the old nursery rhyme Rain, Rain, Go Away, written by Paul Austin Kelly and arranged by P.A. Kelly and Richard Durrant. It’s from the Walking Oliver CD Through Tenderwood

Rain, Rain Go away

Rain, Rain Go Away,
Come again some other day.
When you fall down every day
My feelings fall with you.
All my friends have gone away
Because you’ve made the sky so grey
And you won’t let the sun come shining through.

Rain, rain, tell me why,
When you make wet out of dry,
Does your falling from the sky
Bring life to everything?

If it’s so, perhaps it’s true,
That I have been too hard on you
So please forgive me now for what I sing.

Please come again in the night when I am sleeping
And let the trees and the animals partake.
It’s just that I cannot bear to see you weeping
When I’m awake.

Old MacDonald

Old MacDonald had a farm,
Ee i ee i oh!
And on his farm he had some chicks,
Ee i ee i oh!
With a buck-buck here,
And a buck-buck there
Here a buck, there a buck,
Everywhere a buck-buck
Old MacDonald had a farm
Ee i ee i oh!

Old MacDonald had a farm,
Ee i ee i oh!
And on his farm he had some cows,
Ee i ee i oh!
With a moo-moo here,
And a moo-moo there
Here a moo, there a moo,
Everywhere a moo-moo
Old MacDonald had a farm,
Ee i ee i oh!

Old MacDonald had a farm,
Ee i ee i oh!
And on his farm he had some pigs,
Ee i ee i oh!
With an oink-oink here,
And an oink-oink there
Here an oink, there an oink,
Everywhere an oink-oink
Old MacDonald had a farm
Ee i ee i oh!

Old MacDonald had a farm,
Ee i ee i oh!
And on his farm he had some turkeys,
Ee i ee i oh!
With gobble, gobble here
And a gobble, gobble there
Here a gobble, there a gobble
Everywhere a gobble, gobble
Old MacDonald had a farm
Ee i ee i oh!

Old MacDonald had a farm,
Ee i ee i oh!
And on his farm he had some sheep,
Ee i ee i oh!
With a baa-baa here
And a baa-baa there
Here a baa, there a baa
Everywhere a baa-baa
Old MacDonald had a farm
Ee i ee i oh!

Where Did the Dinosaurs Go? Video by Paul Austin Kelly

This is the title tracks from the Walking Oliver CD. This case for the extinction of the dinosaurs is based on current scientific evidence.  The words and music are by Paul Austin Kelly and the cover art and dinosaur is by Korky Paul.

Where Did the Dinosaurs Go?
Words & Music by P.A.Kelly

Sixty-five million years ago
On the Yucatan peninsula in the Gulf of Mexico
There crashed a mighty asteroid of ten miles wide, or so
Sixty-five million years ago

Sixty-five million years, my friends
And sixty-four before the first homo sapiens
The Earth was ruled by dinosaurs but this came to an end
Sixty-five million years, my friends

REFRAIN:

Where did the dinosaurs go?
Where did the dinosaurs go?
Tell me does anyone know?
Sixty-five million years ago.

Sixty-five million years, my dear
The asteroid threw tons of dust into the atmosphere
The dust blocked out the sunshine on our planet far and near
Sixty-five million years, my dear.

Sixty-five million years, I said.
Without life-giving sunlight all the plants would soon be dead.
Without life-giving plants how would the dinosaurs be fed?
Sixty-five millions years, I said.

(repeat REFRAIN)

Sixty-five million years ago,
The shockwaves that were started in the Gulf of Mexico,
Would spread around the world and see the dinosaurs laid low!
Sixty-five million years ago.

(repeat REFRAIN)
