Paul Austin Kelly To Perform on BBC Radio 2 Programme "Friday Night is Music Night" on June 2nd.

Following his successful Opera Ireland debut, American tenor Paul Austin Kelly makes his first appearance on the popular BBC Radio 2 programme “Friday Night is Music Night” on Friday, June 2nd at 7:30 PM (GMT).

Recorded live in concert at the Watford Coliseum, Paul Austin Kelly performs the beloved tenor aria “Una furtiva lagrima” from the Donizetti opera “L’elisir d’amore” (The Elixir of Love). Returning to his popular music roots, Mr. Kelly also sings the classic Broadway show tune. . .


“The Song is You” by famed composer and fellow New Yorker Jerome Kern. The long-running BBC Radio 2 show is hosted by Brian Kay
and features the superb BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Benjamin Pope.

Paul Austin Kelly is well known to British opera audiences since making his Glyndebourne debut during the 1994-95 season. It was then he fell in love with the surrounding region and decided to settle in East Sussex with his family. His many UK engagements have brought him to Covent Garden, the Edinburgh Festival, as well as performances with the Welsh National Opera and Opera Holland Park among others. He has also made numerous appearances on the BBC Radio 3 programme “In Tune”.

The always-surprising Paul Austin Kelly leads an unexpected parallel life as a singer and songwriter of music for children.
