Walking Oliver past the graveyard one Halloween night
I could hear his knees were knocking, teeth were chattering with fright
When suddenly before us there appeared such a sight!
Oh, feet started pinwheeling, spinning in the air
Ollie and me and a shriek of despair
I shouted, “Holy Mama! Now this just isn’t fair!”
REFRAIN:
Don’t ever mention Halloween to me again!
All those ghosties and hobgoblins only drive me insane
And if you don’t believe me let me make it quite plain
Don’t ever mention Halloween to me again!
It came out of the grave with its eyes burning red!
It loomed and it leered, this high-flying un-dead!
It giggled and gurgled, “How I long to be fed!”
Oh, feet started pinwheeling, like in the cartoons
Ollie and me howling like two baboons
Arms of that thing reaching like two harpoons!
(repeat refrain)
“I’m so lonely down here in the ground,” now it said.
“I mean, how would you like to be stone cold and dead?”
It grabbed its own hair in its fist and popped off its head!
Oh, feet started pinwheeling, running there in space
Ollie and me such a crying disgrace
Felt ourselves lifted into its embrace
(repeat refrain)
