American tenor and long-time anglophile, Paul Austin Kelly will perform Mozart’s "Requiem" in his debut performance with the prestigious London Mozart Players chamber orchestra at the Forum in Bath (England) on Friday, September 23rd at 7:30 PM.
Conducted by Jason Thornton and featuring soprano Lynne Dawson, mezzo-soprano Jeanette Ager and bass João Fernando, the progamme will also include highlights of Mozart’s "The Marriage of Figaro" and clarinet concerto performed by Andreas Wiesner.
A native New Yorker, now celebrating his first decade of living in the UK, Paul Austin Kelly’s affection
for his adopted country has often been reciprocated by British opera fans and critics alike. Among Paul Austin Kelly’s most recent UK engagements was his critically-acclaimed debut with Opera Holland Park in Bellini’s "La Sonnambula" and in Britten’s "Les Illuminations" with the Ten Tors Orchestra for his Plymouth debut earlier this season.
